LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - William Shatner is taking his show further on the road, with a 20-city U.S. tour extension of "Shatner's World: We Just Live in It."
The 90-minute, one-man show explores the 81-year-old actor's life, playing Shakespearean stage characters, Captain Kirk and roles beyond.
The additional dates follow a three-week run at Broadway's Music Box Theatre from February 14 to March 4 and a 15-city run that ended in April.
Shatner's show received mostly positive reviews during its Broadway run.
Ben Brantley of the New York Times called the show "chatty, digressive and often amusing."
"Although he spends a fair amount of time getting in and out of a comfy-looking desk chair, and regales us with the story of a riding accident that injured his leg, Mr. Shatner appears hale and full of energy as he reminiscences about his professional and personal lives," he wrote.
In the New York Post, Elisabeth Vincentelli said: "It's on the rambling, ramshackle side - think of it as ?S#*! William Shatner Says' - but the star's admirers will gobble up this ham-and-cheese sandwich of a show."
Shatner, who has previously appeared on Broadway three times, said in a statement: "Performing for audiences on the road has been one of the most gratifying experiences I've ever had as an actor."
